Believing in the importance of volunteer work and social responsibility, Elan Group has recently participated in the Tayf program for collecting in-kind donations, which is run by Qatar Charity.
Employees from Elan Group contributed in-kind donations of clothes, shoes, toys, and accessories, that have been collected by Qatar Charity with the aim of selling them for a symbolic price and contributing the revenues to fund other charity projects.
Commenting on this initiative, an employee of Elan said: “I felt that I did something good for the society, even if it is small, and I hope that these donations will bring happiness to people in need”.
Mr. Amer Al Besiry, Manager of In-kind Donations (Tayf Program) at Qatar Charity, commented: “We want to thank Elan Group for this noble initiative, and we want to thank all the employees and the management team for their donations”.
He added “Qatar Charity is open to such initiatives that promote the spirit of volunteer work in the society, and strengthen the partnerships between charity institutions and the business sector, in the framework of activating their corporate social responsibilities”.
This cooperation between the two institutions is a practical example in supporting the Qatar Vision 2030, specifically the social development pillar, which other companies may follow in order to make a larger and more meaningful impact on the society.
